Drone Roof Surveys
&
Roof Inspections
Roof repairs can be expensive, and without proper access, it’s often difficult to understand the true condition of your roof. At Yellow Brick Surveyors, we offer safe, accurate, and non-intrusive roof inspections using drone — helping you avoid unnecessary costs and make confident decisions.
We provide two types of roof survey services:
Photographic Roof Survey
Sometimes all you need is a clear visual record of your roof. Our Photographic Roof Survey provides high-resolution 4K images captured with DJI drones and telescopic pole cameras. This safe, non-intrusive service gives you a detailed photographic overview of your roof, chimneys, flashings, and gutters — without the need for scaffolding or working at height. It’s the ideal choice if you simply want professional-quality visuals to share with contractors, insurers, or for your own records.
Roof Condition Survey
If you need more than photographs, our Roof Condition Survey combines high-quality imagery with a detailed written report prepared by an AssocRICS-qualified surveyor. Alongside the drone photography, you’ll receive a clear, plain-language report explaining the condition of your roof highlighting defects. Whether you’re buying a property, checking storm damage, or reviewing a contractor’s work, this survey provides the reassurance and guidance you need to make informed decisions.
When Should You Book a Roof Inspection?
A roof inspection is particularly valuable before purchasing a property, after storm or severe weather damage, when you are unsure whether a contractor's repairs have been completed to a satisfactory standard, or when a survey has flagged concerns about roof condition. We cover Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Southampton and Andover, with inspections typically arranged within 2 to 3 working days

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a drone roof survey?
A drone roof survey uses a DJI drone or telescopic pole camera to capture high-resolution 4K images and video of a roof, chimneys, flashings and gutters. It is safe and non-intrusive, with no scaffolding or working at height, and gives a clear view of areas a standard inspection cannot reach.
What's the difference between a Photographic Roof Survey and a Roof Condition Survey?
A Photographic Roof Survey gives you high-resolution images and video of your roof to share with contractors, insurers or for your records. A Roof Condition Survey adds a written report prepared by an AssocRICS-qualified surveyor, explaining the condition of the roof and highlighting defects.
Do I need scaffolding for a roof survey?
No. Our drone and pole camera surveys reach roofs, chimneys and gutters without scaffolding or working at height. This makes the inspection safer, faster and lower cost.
When should I get a roof survey?
Get a roof survey when buying a property, after storm damage, when checking a contractor's work, or to plan maintenance. It gives you a clear record and, with the condition survey, professional advice on any defects.
How much does a roof survey cost?
Our roof survey fees are fixed and depend on the property and the type of survey you need. Contact us for a personalised quote.
For houses, drone photographs are included within our Level 2 HomeBuyer and Level 3 Building Survey services at no additional cost, allowing detailed inspection of roofs and other difficult-to-access areas.
